Addressing system racism and inequities through our Safer Work Environment (Safer) initiative Use of pronoun badges and preferred names Encouraging cultural awareness through education and trainingAbout this positionThe Surgical Technologist facilitates the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical proceduresThe Surgical Technologist provides assistance and support to the surgeon and operative team to ensure a safe environment, properly functioning equipment, adherence to surgical concepts and infection control principles for the customer who may include neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults and older adultsActively and consistently demonstrates the mission, vision, values and guiding principles of Maple Grove Hospital.RequirementsEducation Graduate from an accredited surgical technologist program.Experience 1 year previous Surgical Tech experience preferred; Willing to consider, in lieu of experience a new grad surgical technologist that has successfully completed clinical experience. Ability to be calm and efficient during emergency situations. Solid PC skills to include MS applications, Internet, etc. Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to express ideas and information (both in written and oral form), clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to the audience. Demonstrated ability to deal with conflict in a positive mannerHas an awareness of, responds to, and considers the needs, feelings and capabilities of others. Ability to be accountable for quality customer service and respond appropriately to a variety of personalities and situations. Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
