Position Summary The incumbent for this role will have strong mechanical and electrical background to fill our first shift opening in our Manufacturing department within our Blood Products / Freeze Drying team. This role will focus on maintenance, working on our blood products manufacturing equipment. The work involved is performed in temperature and humidity-controlled environments. The job duties include:
o Support of equipment used for the manufacture of our Biologics products, specifically those related to our blood products. o Assist R&D and Product Development departments as required. o Follow FDA Quality Management System and complete documentation related to work performed. o Perform and assist in equipment modifications as needed. o Provide work direction to two technicians supporting the maintenance and repair. Work will primarily be on freeze dryers, chillers, incubators, DI systems, basic boiler, medical grade washer and lab equipment. Principal Responsibilities o Independently perform and monitor the 4 most common Lyophilizer programs (Production Runs, Decontaminate, Vacuum Integrity and Defrost). o Assist and document equipment modifications as required. o Write protocols, execute and write reports for equipment qualifications. o Document your work on all Maintenance, Production, R&D and Product Development related activities using paper logbooks, computerized maintenance forms and other systems. o Independently update Maintenance Control documents as required to reflect current maintenance requirements, practices, and procedures. o Independently update Measuring Instrument calibration procedures as required. o Position may require some work in clean room environments Education / Experience Requirements o Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering discipline required. o 10 years minimum experience in a manufacturing equipment maintenance or repair role o Must be able to troubleshoot and repair equipment independently by following schematics, drawings and manuals as well as document everything completed. Specialized Skills / Other Requirements o Strong electromechanical troubleshooting ability required o This role requires initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision o EPA/HVAC Section 608 certification is a nice to have o High Pressure Boiler license preferred (must be willing to prepare for and pass test within 1 year if not already licensed-Special is acceptable), (Teleflex will fund) o Currently be or willing to become a qualified electrical worker (has taken the OSHA course and shown competency with electrical wiring circuits (BSEE, Electrician or HVAC)) o Hepatitis B Vaccination or waiver required (Teleflex will fund)
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Mechanical Engineering, Electrical EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
